I definitely recommend experiencing The Slackers live. Their CDs don't quite capture the magic of their live performances. Witnessing Pat's true talent live is truly amazing. The venue, however, was disappointing to me. At a smaller venue, there's a more intimate connection with the band and the crowd. I felt the MGM venue was too big, with the front row seats far from the stage.
I purchased meet and greet tickets as well. Though excited, I was nervous to meet the band. Unfortunately, I was left feeling disappointed. Pat seemed unapproachable and I felt ignored. Perhaps they were in a rush due to an upcoming performance in another state. The encounter was brief and unsatisfying. The band appeared tired and the night may not have been their best.
